Thanks so much for all your kindness and for fulfilling my dream! I couldn't be happier with my new "assets" and will always be grateful for your hard work and dedication for being the best cosmetic surgery center. I will highly recommend you to anyone! Thanks again and take care.
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful service you have given me since I've been coming to see you, from the consultation to the day of my breast augmentation surgery. You and your staff need to be commended for the wonderful jobs you all do. I would recommend you to all of my friends. You made my decision easy with your gentle demeanor and concern for my welfare. Once again, Dr. Kaplan thank you for everything you do, you have changed my life and for this I am grateful. I wish you continued success, and who knows, maybe I'll see you again for future procedures.
Breast Augmentation
According to The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, it is estimated that over 250,000 breast augmentation procedures were performed in 2003. Breast augmentation was second only to liposculpture as the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure.
Breast augmentation has one of the highest patient satisfaction rates in plastic surgery and it's currently one of the most sought-after procedures in this country. Regardless, the decision to undergo breast enhancement should not be taken lightly.
Dr. Kaplan has incorporated advancements in the area of minimally invasive cosmetic surgery into the breast implant procedure. Dr. Kaplan's procedure is performed under local or tumescent anesthesia as performed in liposculpture surgery. You will be given oral medication to relax you. A small incision is then made in the fold under the breast and a pocket is created under the chest muscle. The placement under the muscle gives a very natural appearance and greatly lessens the possibility of a hardened capsule around the implant and eliminates rippling. Since you are awake, you are placed in a sitting position where you are part of the team to determine a satisfactory appearance and size. Fifteen minutes after the procedure is completed, you will be able to walk out of the office. However, we do require someone to drive you home. That person must also be available to remain in the office during the procedure. In addition, you will be required to visit our office for follow up appointments to monitor your progress and healing.
The breast implant itself is a silicone rubber envelope filled with a sterile intravenous saline and is warranted by the manufacturer. While it’s possible for an implant to leak or break, this is extremely rare. Potential side effects of having the procedure include infection, bleeding, hematoma, pain, change or loss of sensation in the nipple area, visible edges of the implant, ability to feel the implant, scar formation, encapsulation causing hardening of the implant area, further procedures due to any of the above, and possibly an autoimmune reaction. While all of these events are rare, additional procedures are not uncommon. On a positive note, the psychological effects after your procedure will be noticeable, especially increased self-esteem and confidence.
