Tattoo Removal
No one knows when the practice of tattooing the skin actually began, but tattoos are now part of the American mainstream culture. While some people keep their tattoos for life, many people regret their decision to decorate their body and eventually want them removed. Like all fads, tattoos may lose their appeal after a period of time. The problem is that unlike a hairstyle or a fashion trend, tattoos are much harder to reverse.
A tattoo performed by a more experienced tattoo artist, for example, may be easier to remove since the pigment is evenly injected in the same level of the skin. In addition, a tattoo that has been on the skin for a considerable length of time may be more difficult to remove than a new one.
There are two methods for tattoo removal:
Laser which treats black and red tattoos, requires just a few minutes, but 6-10 sessions are usually necessary with 4-6 weeks between treatments.
Rejuvi is an ink extraction technique performed using the permanent make-up tattooing equipment and treats any color tattoo; treatments take longer, sometimes hours though multiple sessions are needed.
Regardless of the method, it is important to understand that 100% ink removal may not be possible and the skin may be abnormal or scarred afterwards.
